Happy December!!! It’s
SUPER hot here! I love Decembers like this!!
This week was a great
one! We went to Huanta on Wednesday and I was a little car sick after all the
switch backs.... but we survived!!! It was a beautiful experience! Then it was
Thanksgiving! We ate a beet salad and fried egg thing called a tortilla it is
like an omelet.
This is a pecan salad that Hna Nielsen made. She is super talented!
It was yummy. Our pension Solidad is great! We also ate cute
little pies that Hermana Nielsen had, super yummy! And to top it off we made no
bake fudgies for a family home evening we had!!! Pretty much the BEST Thanksgiving
EVER!! Yesterday we had a meeting for family history at the stake center. We
got on the wrong bus and went WAY The wrong way!!!! Not kidding, we were basically
walking as fast we could to the stake center! We were only 10 min
late....
Anyway, lately I’ve been
reading
1 Nefi 15-18 (These are chapters too long to post, but you can read them on lds.org)
The photo shoot wall is in her apartment. Maybe she wanted us to see she really does her hair:)
and I’m loving it!! Really! Every time I open up to read I
just get enveloped in the story! I feel like it is so real! I used to not like
reading in Español but now I love it. It is an interesting experience to read
the book of Mormon in Spanish. I feel it’s somehow cultural too because the
people here are their descendants!
Maybe Thanksgiving festivities or FHE not sure
It is amazing! Some verses I loved and meant
a lot to me are in
1 Nefi 17 3-5, 8 and 15.
3And thus we see that the commandments of God must be fulfilled. And if it so be that the children of men keep the commandments of God he doth nourish them, and strengthen them, and provide means whereby they can accomplish the thing which he has commanded them; wherefore, he did provide means for...
4And we did sojourn for the space of many years, yea, even eight years in the wilderness.
5And we did come to the land which we called Bountiful , because of its much fruit and also wild honey; and all these things were prepared of the Lord that we might not perish. And we beheld the sea, which we called Irreantum, which, being interpreted, is many waters.
8 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying: Thou shalt construct a ship, after the manner which I shall show thee, that I may carry thy people across these waters.
15W Wherefore, I, Nephi, did strive to keep the

As we live the commandments
Heavenly Father blesses us. These commandments keep order in everything! It’s
like if in the US there weren’t speed signs! so Perú--really it’s a good
example the driving is crazy here. Without the rules its absolute chaos. I know
that Heavenly Father always prepares means by which we can accomplish the
commandments and our assignments from Him. I love the gospel and I know the
Gospel has been restored to the earth and that God does talk to His living
prophet, Thomas S Monson. I know the Book of Mormon can answer any question...
it leaves me feeling peace and Joy!
May we all feel the
Saviors Peace during this time of December!!!
Love you!
