There is Sunshine in My Soul

Well this week was seriously one of the best. We had a great day yesterday! We had 5 investigators in the cappilla (chapel) which is a lot for this area (Chorrillos) right now but this next Sunday we want even more. Pres. Douglas gave us a focus to teach the Sabbath day and we did and look at what we had, 5 in the capilla what a miracle!!! 

SOOO today in the morning I got a wax on my eyebrows while hna Galo got her hair cut. It was so awesome. (Emily has the blessing of beautiful hair but with that comes bushy uni-brows as well so this is a huge deal to her to get waxed. We have been sending waxing strips very often because she couldn't take her waxing pot with her). Today we are going bowling as a zone. I'm excited. And we went running for exercise today. oh it was great.

Here is a story of some of our investigators. It is a couple the mom is a member less active who we will be rescuing this week and her husband is a non member and they have a son that is 10. He is so cute. So anyway, long story short. They are really poor but they are getting married. Marriage is so expensive here ahh Satan..... anyway, but they are getting married and the dad is getting baptized in September!!!!!! I'm so excited. Last night we had a lesson with them and the mom shared her testimony of tithing and offerings, which she paid yesterday!! yay!! and then of the book of Mormon and when she is scared she reads and prays for help.  The dad said that he loved the church. His eyes were glowing. they are doing great. I love them!!!!!!! Angela, Luis and Leonardo are the best!

Another less active that is being rescued named Carmen she has lots of problems but long story short she isn't smoking anymore. She is coming to church, reading her book of Mormon and paying her tithing. I love her!!!!!!!! She is the best! She is so strong to resist the temptation to smoke. 

Maybe to remind us not to drink alcohol, but to partake of the sweeter things in life, honey

I love the scripture in Alma 5:12 to 13
12 And according to his faith there was a mighty change wrought in his heart. Behold I say unto you that this is all true. 
13 And behold, he preached the word unto your fathers, and a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their trust in the true and living God. And behold, they were faithful until the end ; therefore they were saved.

A change in heart is what leads young people to become dedicated missionaries

The gospel brings this change in our hearts. We have the desire to obey the commandments and repent. if we repent we are changing. Repentance is what makes us change and become more like Christ. I love this gospel. Read, pray and go to church! love you!!!
