Finding Strength through the Atonement

Hello!

Well it was cambios (transfers)............ I’m still here in Chorrillos for one cambio mas (transfer more). Hermana Galo se fue a Nazca (went to Nazca, I think her Spanish is kicking in! Not sure she realized she was writing Spanish instead of English.). Hermana Zambrano is here in Las Villas with me!!!!!!!!  I’m excited to work with her. She was in my last zone and is from Columbia the mission Cali Columbia. She is in some of the pictures I sent home she was comps with Hermana Udy the other greenga when we went to Parque Zonal Hermana Udy had a Utah State sweat shirt on, I think.

This week we are going to find families to teach in La Encontada. Elizabeth is doing so good!!!!! Her testimony is getting stronger everyday. Yesterday we had a cita with her and when we asked if she remembered what time her baptism was she said yes!!! 13 de Septiembre!!! Yay she remembered and she put it into her phone as well!!!

Mosiah 3:19 is one of my favorite scriptures.

19 For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit , and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child 

We are here to work to put off the natural man and become like Heavenly Father.

I love what it says about having a change of heart. Through the Atonement of Christ we can have our hearts changed. It is through the grace, or better said, the enabling power of the Atonement of Christ that we can be changed and become better. The Atonement is not only for sins. It is to help us become like Christ. If we have struggles or doubts we can use the enabling power that allows us to do things beyond our own strength. It is so amazing to see the work hasten. There are so many families here in Chorrillos to teach and baptize and rescue!!  Ammon is a great example of putting off the natural man. Alma 26:12.

If you are thinking about serving a mission but have doubts, Pray. Heavenly Father will help you know through the Spirit your answer,

Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart ; and lean not unto thine own understanding . 

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths . 

It is true if we lean on Him he will show us the paths we should take. A mission is a great opportunity to learn about the gospel, and about yourself. It’s a chance to change your life. To be born again.

Miracle of the Week; We received a reference for la Encontada. google la Encontada Chorrillos Perú. It’s pretty. I keep talking about it because the ward says that it’s impossible to baptize there because the people have money. I don’t believe it at all there is love in every person and everyone has problems that the gospel can help. I love you all!!!! Have a happy week!!!!! Find strength through the Lord!
