Miracle of the Week we
found Maria and her husband Fransisco in Cerro Azul. It was Hermana Jessica’s
20th birthday!! Yay!!
So last week we went to Parke
Zonal for p-day again. It was so fun!!!!!!!! I love that place the monkeys were
hilarious. You should google it and see if it’s online!
This miercoles (Wednesday)
we spent the day in Cerro Azul!! It was awesome its part of our area but it is
so relaxing! It’s on the beach and it’s a tourist area. But its winter right
now and so there’s hardly any tourists so we had language and capacitacion (training)
on the beach! It was awesome! Oh and we ate hamburgers! They were so good!!!
Anyway, we were heading to lunch but then we felt we should contact someone so
we started to look for the house and we couldn’t find it. So we stopped on a
street to find the house and this lady came up to us and was like are you
elders, us, no were Hermanas and we were like oh man this could get bad if she doesn’t
like elders. Then she was like are you Mormon. Yes, we’re Mormon. Then she was
like I have a bro in Lima who’s a bishop. He said if I ever saw elders to talk
to them about the LDS church. Her brother had given her a book of Mormon, hymns
to listen to, the works!! It was awesome! She loves the hymns! And she and her
husband listened and I was so touched by how the Lord works in our lives. I
love this work. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I love them. They are ready
for the gospel in their lives. On Thursday we went to Lima for my migration and
I am officially legal!!!!!!! Yay!! It was fun I was able to talk with a man
from Cuba, a family from Italy, a family from Texas, and a guy from Miami. It
was a great way to share the gospel. There was about 10 of us missionaries together.
I also met hna Wardle from the Lima Central Mission. I saw her blog before I
came so it was fun to get to know her. haha. In Lima we ate subway!!!!! So
yummy!! Lima was great but I was glad to be back in Cañete. It’s a small town. Yesterday
was hna Jessica’s bday! She is amazing! She takes good care of me. She always
is looking out for others. She is a true example of charity. She already is a
tremendous missionary!!!! I look up to her so much. I want to be more like
her!! She is a great leader for the church here in Cañete!!! I love her!!!
| Emily with her cousins and aunt at her farewell. Family is so important! It is families that Emily asks us to pray she and her companion will find to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to. |
This week is changes, so
next Monday I will most likely have a new comp. I should be staying in Cañete
for one more change but we think hna Merren will leave. I will miss her so
much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOO much! She has been the best
trainer ever!!! I love her she is so consecrated to the work and so dedicated
to baptize, rescue, and establish the Church here in Perú. I love this gospel.
It truly does bring us Joy and happiness. I know that through a simple and
sincere prayer Joseph Smith was able to restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ on
the earth again. I’m grateful for it and how it helps me and all of Gods
Children. I love 2 Nefi 2 through 3 and verse 20. (I think these are chapters,
but here is 2 Nephi 2:3-4 it seemed appropriate for what she was talking about)
| Two influential women who have changed Emily for the better through their faithful examples. Hna Jessica and Hna Merren |
3…and thy days shall be spent in
the service of thy God. Wherefore, I know that thou art redeemed, because of
the righteousness of thy Redeemer; for thou hast beheld that in the fulness of
time he cometh to bring salvation unto men.
4 And thou hast beheld in thy
youth his glory; wherefore, thou art blessed even as they unto whom he shall
minister in the flesh; for the Spirit is the same, yesterday, today, and
forever. And the way is prepared from the fall of man, and salvation is free.
Love you all! Have a
great week! Cañete is great!
Hermana Bott
