Hola!

Hola!

Some highlights this week are-

It RAINED over the weekend it was a sprinkle but I felt some drops!

There was an earth tremor!!! My first one ever!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this is Sis Durfee who Em played basketball with before her mission
I went to a lot of classes and such another district transferred out last night so we are now advanced! Crazy because we still hardly know Spanish!!!! In 2 weeks I’ll be in the field!!! I’m way excited!!!

Today has been a great day!!! We went to the temple and there were a bunch of members out on the grounds when we got out of the session and it was so fun. I attached a pic of 2 cute little boys we saw!! I LOVE PERU!!!!!!!!!! I’m so glad I’m here. When we were trying to catch a bus on the way home the bus drivers were all like Mormons, Mormons all competing to get us to ride their bus it was awesome! The one we took was fun because it was just us and a few people. That RARELY happens personal bubbles don’t exist here. One of the elders in our district was able to do some contacting on the ride home and it was so cool to see what we’ll be doing the rest of our missions i really am so excited!!!

The Elders are the only boys that she attached. They don't look too little. Maybe next week we will get the little boys!

Then we went to garaje and metro and I got a scarf to tie in my hair!!! It’ll mix things up because clothes get bland sometimes.

Learning a new language can be very stressful and sometimes hard. But with a good attitude and confidence it’s possible. I’m starting to learn that I’m going to look dumb for a while when I talk and it’s totally fine. Heavenly Father is right there to help we just have to ask, seek, knock, and understand.

There were some great spiritual things I listened to this week and learned. I’m just going to share some quotes I heard this week:
1 take the step into the darkness. Faith requires action and faith leads to power. So faith-action-power.
2 courage is fear holding on one moment longer
3 from Elder Holland about missionary work: pull up your socks to your armpits and get to work.
4 from Elder Holland: convert yourself on your mission
5 no one is ever lost forever
6. Be a leader of destiny rather than becoming a victim of circumstance- from yearning for the living God. I’m reading this book right now and it’s awesome!!

Preach My Gospel (pmg) is awesome I decided to start from the front cover and read it through because it is a great resource. everyone I’ve talked to wished that it would have been used more in Sunday school etc. so you can know it inside and out before you get our here.

I love you all and know this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and I love it.

love,

Hermana Bott
