Be a Futurista

Hello!
Lesson with Machaca Family

Quick overview of the week: Tuesday I had intercambios (switch companions for the day) with Hermana king. I love doing intercambios. I feel so lucky to work with the sisters here. Hermana King is AWESOME. I love her tons!! She is a great and hardworking missionary! She’s the blond curly if you want pics from last transfer to see who she is.
Hermanas Nielsen and Tuquerres (intercambios)

Then Wednesday we went to Huanta to work in family history. A member from the ward Mariscal (maybe the ward name it translated Marshal) named Hermano Manuel takes us for FREE!!! What a blessing that is!!! I know he will be blessed for his service!
Ivett and Frine

Thursday we had a family home evening with Ivett and Frine to show them how to do one. We tried Monday but they weren’t home Ivett had the spiritual thought and she shared how she prayed to find a toy of Carla’s, her little sister, and she found it! It was so cute. It reminded me of when I was about 6 and lost mom’s birthstone ring at the Snell’s in all the leaves and we knelt down and prayed and we found it like 2 min later. Truly, Heavenly Father answers our prayers.
Rained so hard they are soaked to their hips (Hope they always wear their slips)
Hermana Nielsen, singing and preachin in the rain

Friday. Okay, this isn’t spiritual but it’s hilarious. Are you ready... I hope I give it justice. So, after we got home on Friday Hermana Nielsen was in our room and there was a GIGANTIC spider on the wall!!!  We took like 10 min killing it. Not kidding it was huge... and we were both screaming…okay I think I was screaming more. You know how much I love spiders! But, I mustered up my courage and killed it!
Families are forever
Families are forever
THEN, we ran down to get our clothes from the laundry guy and Hermana Nielsen opens our apartment door to leave and there is a RAAAAAAAAAAAT outside our door. So we hurry and shut the door. Then we made a plan to find and kill it. So we get our clothes then we are looking for it with the broom. Can’t find it....the couple across the hall come out wondering what in the world is going on. We tell them and the husband takes the broom goes up the stairs to look for it. He says HAY ESTA (there is)! Then it comes running down the stairs with him chasing it with the broom. While I’m like trying to jump on Hermana Nielsen because it was coming right for us. We were screaming. The wife was laughing hysterically at us, thinking I’m sure estas greengas son locas! (These are crazy greengas) So anyway, just so you know that was the first rat I’ve seen here. So I did pretty good. Almost a year and only one rat so far... knock on wood.
Great minds think alike

Okay we had a great week in family history!!! Tons of lessons and people that want to go to the temple. Family history really has a strong spirit! Saturday, we had interviews. Pres. Douglas is the BEST!!! One thing he said is that we always need to have the future in our vision! Be a futurista!!! The Temple is amazing. It’s powerful I love what

Dressed alike again! Never on purpose!
Doctrine and Covenants 84 verse 20-21 says.
20Therefore, in the ordinances thereof, the power of godliness is manifest.

21And without the ordinances thereof, and the authority of the priesthood, the power of godliness is not manifest unto men in the flesh;

The Lords work truly is hastening.

Doctrine and Covenants 64: 33-34
33Wherefore, be not weary in well -doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.

34Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land of Zion in these last days.

Doctrine and Covenants 88:72-73.
72Behold, and lo, I will take care of your flocks , and will raise up elders and send unto them.

73Behold, I will hasten my work in its time.

He qualifies us when He calls us.
